The original Victorian residence was built in the 1800s and purchased by the club in1952 and was used for meetings, small gatherings. in 1955 the large balconied dance hall with stage was added to the rear of the building. The 1960 addition enclosed most of the original building and added much needed space or the growing club.

Theatrix Costume House is found in an Edwardian Gable Front beside the fabric district on Ottawa Street. Theatrix has one of the largest collections of costumes available in North America, with over 50,000 professional – quality costumes and accessories from every century. They are thrilled to offer music-inspired costumes to view. The team would be delighted to dress up too!

The Huxley Building is a prominent property in the Waterdown Heritage District. Built in 1860, it was bank and later a bookstore. The facade has been renovated to provide a retail space on the west side, and a 'picture window' on the south facade. Most of the interior is original. It currently houses Pickwick books a used book store.

Walking tours of Waterdown's Heritage District will take place at 11:30, 1:30 and 3:00 daily, starting at the Mill St and 5 pub. Lead by local historians, this tour will take you up Mill Street and back along the historic streets of Waterdown. Most of the old stone structures are still intact, and the main street has been developed tastefully.

Westdale Village is an example of the Garden City Movement of the early 20th century, with small, individually owned homes radiating from a central business district. Our tour will start 10:00 am at the Paisley Cafe, one of 80 shops, cafes, restaurants, and bakeries in Westdale. Live will music will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm daily.

"Stoney Creek was first settled by United Empire Loyalists in 1786. It was the site of the Battle of Stoney Creek in War of 1812, and the very first Women's Institute in Canada. There will be live music at ************ from 1:00 until 4:00 daily. The tour of Stoney Creek will start at the Legion at 2:00 pm both days."

The Birmingham building is a typical stone Georgian Methodist Church with round headed windows, corner quoins, a central rose window and oversized eaves with paired cornice brackets. It is part of a cluster of buildings in downtown Waterdown that is largely intact after almost 200 years. The buildings is currently home to the CBY Academy of Performing Arts and Birmingham Consulting.

American House is one of the longest running hotels in Ontario. Opening in 1824, it has changed owners many times, but the integrity of the original design has been maintained. It contained the last old-time stand up bar in Ontario and maintained the segregation of men and women up until 1966. This excellent restaurant celebrates 200 years this year.

Ancaster is the 3rd oldest community in Ontario. The Coach and Lantern belongs to a cluster of buildings that have been in continuous use since the late 1700s. This gorgeous stone building has been used as a court of law, a hotel and a pub. Now a well known pub and center of live music, it is part of a thriving commercial block.

This delightful Stoney Creek restaurant is the original Renaissance Revival Powerhouse that provided power to the rail lines in the 1890's. It was intricately refurbished with historic tokens from across Canada to become the space you see today. It is a brilliant example of adaptive reuse, preserving the Florentine arches, scalloping, and exaggerated keystones indicative of the Renaissance Revival style.

Originally an 1894 Romanesque Revival structure, the Case United Church has been updated to include a foyer, accessible washrooms, user-friendly stairs, and a mechanical lift between floors. Upstairs, a light-filled gathering space offers views of the surrounding farmland and a connecting door to the sanctuary. A vital part of the community, Case United Church and cemetery reflect the surrounding rural district.

St. James United Church is a 2SLGBTQ+ inclusive congregation serving Waterdown for nearly 250 years. We provide worship and community connectory support services for children, youth, adults and seniors; support for homeless persons in Hamilton and migrant workers in Flamborough; as well as space for local commuity groups including the Waterdown Muslim community and a Montessori School.

L’hôtel du canton de Flamborough Est est un chef-d’œuvre de conservation intégrée. Les caractéristiques du bâtiment originel de style georgien ont presque toutes été restaurées, tandis que l’intérieur a été remanié avec subtilité pour accueillir confortablement les bureaux de cabinets juridique et financier (Brown Lawyers et Brown Financial Security, respectivement), tout en arborant les particularités architecturales d’origine.

The partnership of Kiwanis Homes with the Stoney Creek United Church and Bell Tower is the perfect adaptive reuse of an historic building and affordable housing. Respecting both the height of the building and the style, Kiwanis Homes created a community center and housing site that compliments the town and revitalizes it.

Le Hamilton City Ballet (en partenariat avec la Hamilton Academy of Performing Arts) est logé dans un bâtiment qui a été constamment modifié et agrandi depuis 1842. Fondée en 1826, l’église St. Andrew’s trône au cœur du village historique d’Ancaster depuis près de 200 ans. De style néogothique, l’édifice en pierre a été achevé en 1875; la cloche date de 1835. Il a été rénové en 1961, en 1990, puis une nouvelle fois en 2018. L’entrée principale a été repensée et un ascenseur a été installé.

St. John’s Anglican Church est une structure néogothique sise dans un magnifique parc. Elle possède une chorale prospère et propose de nombreuses activités communautaires. L’église en bois originelle a brûlé en 1868 et a été remplacée en 1869 par ce bâtiment en pierre locale, remarquable pour ses portes d’entrée rouges, son clocher carré central et ses magnifiques vitraux et intérieur.

Originellement l’African Methodist Episcopal Church, la Stewart Memorial Church se targue de posséder la plus ancienne congrégation majoritairement noire subsistant à Hamilton. L’intérieur a été désigné pour son plafond de tôle embossée et ses bancs incurvés en bois foncé. La chorale chante des spirituals transmis au sein de la congrégation depuis les origines et entonnés le long du chemin de fer clandestin. Vous aurez l’occasion de l’écouter le samedi à 12 h 30.

Cette église a ouvert ses portes en 1892. La Hannah Public School adjacente a été achetée en 1906 et a servi de salle paroissiale jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit détruite par un incendie en 1990. Attachée au service, la congrégation a pris la décision de construire un complexe de logements abordables sur le site. Aujourd’hui, l’église entretient un riche lien avec la musique, aussi bien en son sein qu’au sein de la collectivité.

Le centre culturel Ancaster Memorial se trouve au cœur du village d’Ancaster. Il se compose de la salle Peller de 454 places, du théâtre d’essai Voortman et de plusieurs salles d’activités artistiques, de cinéma, de théâtre et de danse. Ce centre ultramoderne sert de foyer à nombre des brillants et populaires groupes artistiques communautaires d’Ancaster. Il accueille également de nombreux artistes et interprètes professionnels.
