In 1805, the original property was sold to Captain Fulton (Loyalist and first justice of the peace in the area). Richard Vanderburgh later purchased the property and built the Georgian-style house while married to Fulton’s daughter, Elizabeth. The building is now home to the Richmond Hill Board of Trade and is a hub for fostering business growth and local collaboration.

Westbury Home Studio

Participating in the Richmond Hill Studio Tour, this home studio showcases the works of Laurel Douglas Shugarman and guest artist Claudia Galletta. Shugarman produces jewelry — rings, bracelets, pendants and earrings — in silver, gold, bronze and resin, along with prints and cards and two-dimensional art. Galletta produces ceramics, experimenting with various pottery techniques, motivated through her passion of wheel throwing.
