Constructed in1858, the building now home to the Brockville Arts Centre once served as a town hall, marketplace and fire station. In 1880, the building was transformed into Brockville's first true theatre, known as the Opera House. The building underwent restoration in 2009 and is now recognized as one of Canada's finest medium-sized historic theatres, hosting live performances, dance and movie screenings.

Construction began on Victoria Hall in 1862, officially opening in 1864. Its distinctive clock tower is one of Brockville's most recognizable landmarks and has been a downtown focal point for over 160 years. Brockville City Hall sits directly above the historic Brockville Railway Tunnel — Canada's first railway tunnel!

The Brockville Museum is housed in the historical Isaac Beecher House, built circa 1815 and expanded in the 1840s by tanner Isaac Beecher. It was designated a heritage property in 1979 and opened as a museum in 1981. This 19th-century church features beautiful stonework and traditional Gothic-inspired design. Inside, you’ll discover stunning stained-glass windows, detailed wood craftsmanship and a peaceful sanctuary that reflects generations of community life. Still an active place of worship today, the church stands as a testament to Brockville’s rich history and enduring sense of community.

Senator George T. Fulford built his fortune selling “Pink Pills for Pale People” from Brockville to the world. Between 1899 and 1901, he constructed Fulford Place, an 1,858 square-metre (20,000 square-foot) Edwardian mansion overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Walk the same halls as royalty and wander the restored Olmsted Brothers gardens in this remarkable piece of Ontario’s heritage.

Go behind-the-scenes at the Gord Watts Municipal Centre, the operational heart of Brockville. The facility was renovated into a municipal works and compost hub during the city's infrastructure upgrades of the 1970s and 1980s. Public works, parks, engineering and public transit are just some of the departments that operate here.
