Portes ouvertes Ontario:
The properties in our Cultural Heritage Property Register were of course, built by European settlers, significant to them and their descendants. The groupings of these buildings eventually led to the growth of both the large and small communities which abound in Cramahe. But they were all latecomers. Cramahe Township respectfully acknowledges we are located in the traditional and treaty territory of the Michi Saagiig (Mississauga) and Chippewa Nations, collectively known as the Williams Treaties First Nations, which include: Curve Lake, Hiawatha, Alderville, Scugog Island, Rama, Beausoleil, and Georgina Island First Nations. They have been stewards and caretakers of these lands and waters for millennia, and they remain vigilant over their health and integrity. We are all Treaty people.
