This picturesque church was founded as a congregation of the Free Church of Scotland in 1853. The present building site was offered to the congregation by mill operator Mr. Ferrie, and the church became the spiritual home of Scottish settlers of the historic village of Doon. The 1853 building is still in use today (with an extension) and retains many original features.
