This 0.8-hectare (two-acre) growing hot spot, developed by the Roots Community Food Centre, provides youth supportive employment, access to fresh food, and opportunities to build community connections. The SHOW program teaches agricultural skills and how to market the farm’s produce (seasonal crops, fruit and honey). The site also includes 48 community garden plots for individuals to grow their own vegetables.
