This church was built in 1867 from the union of the congregations of Harpurhey and Seaforth, each of which were originally established under the United Secession Church of Scotland in 1904. Many changes have been made over the years, particularly the installation of a Casavant pipe organ. The adjacent manse was constructed in 1879 (not part of Doors Open).
