George Forster and his wife built a log home and barn where several generations of their family lived. The property was sold to the Rawlinson family in 1934. Daughter, Phyllis Rawlinson, later deeded the property to the City of Richmond Hill on the condition that it be managed for conservation purposes. Today, the house and barn host outdoor recreational programs.
