In 1916, Robert J. Graham – prominent businessman and Belleville's former mayor – started building his summer home, now known as the Montrose Inn. This excellent example of antebellum architecture was designed by Toronto architect Eustice Bird and took two years to complete. The inn has had new owners and décor since May 2015.
