Jackson Park has a rich history. Before settlers arrived, the Anishinaabe cared for the land. It was a place for hunting and travelling the Chemong Portage. The Anishinaabe sustained the nature that grew here. This self-guided tour will introduce you to some of the plants and trees growing in Jackson Park and their importance to Anishinaabe culture.
