A staple in Quinte West since 1981, visitors can stroll through the fields and woodland trails, pick berries or go on a scavenger hunt. The wagon ride provides a relaxing tour of the farm with stops to feed the fish in the pond, meet-and-greet with the adorable goats and a stop at the Back 40 Play Yard for the kids. 

Admire the beautiful mural on the side of the theatre, which celebrates Trenton’s days as “Hollywood North,” a nickname earned in the early 1900s during the height of the silent film industry. Then, step inside to explore the theatre’s story through a detailed plaque and video, tracing its journey from its early days to its renovated present.

The National Air Force Museum of Canada is a world-class destination that offers a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of military aviation in Canada. With over 35 aircraft on display — from Canada’s first military aircraft to today’s workhorses — the museum displays aviation history for the whole family. During Doors Open, select aircraft will be open for interior tours.

Designated in 2024, this schoolhouse was built in 1915 in the Prairie style — a rare example of this architectural style in Ontario. It was designed by architect Francis Conroy Sullivan (1882-1929), the only Canadian student of Frank Lloyd Wright. The schoolhouse is currently being restored to be returned to community service by the non-profit Wooler & Area Community Organization.

This site opened in 1960 with Franck Lodge No. 127 (constituted in 1858) as the main tenant. Your guided tour includes the meeting room, with regalia and original items on display. There are four different charters from the Grand Lodge of Canada dating back to 1858. Guides will give an explanation on the history of Freemasonry worldwide, dating to 1717.

Come face-to-face with towering dinosaurs, stunning local rocks and powerful Arctic wildlife at the Quinte Museum of Natural History! During Doors Open, visitors can enjoy the museum’s 5 exhibits at their own pace. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and enhance your self-guided experience.

This 2018 facility is the hub of Quinte West’s fire service, yet its walls hold over a century of history. Discover the evolution of regional firefighting in our specialized museum room, featuring historic tools, equipment and photographs. Join us for a unique dual event combining Doors Open with vital Fire Prevention Week safety activities, live apparatus displays and family-friendly education.

Seniors Club 105 is a community club for residents aged 50 and over in the Bay of Quinte Region. This club facilitates active living through lifelong learning, social interaction and physical activities that offer connections and support healthy living. Tours of the building and facilities will show the various activities that members participate in to strengthen social and community inclusion.

Trenton Town Hall was designated by the town council in 1983. This glorious building now houses various exhibits about local history — courtesy of the Trent Port Historical Society. Come and explore the history of Quinte West, tour the building and view short videos on local heritage.
