Milton - Bronte Pioneer Cemetery

This cemetery was restored by the local chapter of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire (1920s), and again by the Milton Historical Society (1980s). Elizabeth Harrison – Milton’s first teacher – single-handedly raised eight children and died in 1867. Her husband, Thomas, died in 1824 – four years after arriving in Canada from England. Just one of the stories you’ll uncover here.
