Sainte-Croix Church traces its roots to the earliest introduction of Christianity to First Nations residents of the village of Ossossane. It was built by parishioners of the village of Sainte-Croix, which became known as Lafontaine in the 1850s. The church’s exterior features 19th-century brick work contributed by parishioners. All materials used in the construction of the church were locally made.
