Colonel Mahlon Burwell, a devout Anglican, donated the land for this cemetery and church and was buried here along with his wife, Sarah. This rural location is known as Burwell’s Corners (the family had a house, farm and the land registry office on the northwest corner). While those buildings are gone now, this beautiful and peaceful country cemetery remains. For your tour, you can find a map and cemetery brochure here.
