The Sports Hall of Fame was created to celebrate the heritage of sport in the community, and to recognize the accomplishments and efforts of the athletes and builders who have worked hard to promote their own individual sports. Inductees represent a wide range of sports, and some of the more well-known athletes include Newsy Lalonde, Cyril Denneny and Orval Tessier.
