Grand Hotel, The

Built in 1872 as The Mississippi, this hotel was once a mecca for business travellers throughout the Ottawa Valley. Stompin’ Tom Connors wrote his song Big Joe Mufferaw here in 1967; he was influential in saving the building from demolition in the 1980s. A popular wedding venue, this hotel will showcase the main-floor ballroom and dining room during Doors Open.
