Battle of the Windmill National Historic Site

Located on the St. Lawrence River, the place where the “Patriot Hunters” landed is steeped in history. Built in the 1830s, the windmill became a battleground for political reformers determined to change how the government was run. Come and visit to learn more about the battle, take in the view from the lookout, or have a picnic. See you there!
