Explore the world of youth robotics at Burlington Community Robotics! Tour the facility, learn more about the award-winning FIRST Robotics Competition team, and try driving one of their robots. Kids can even make their own mini-robot to take home! See how the team has inspired future innovators by building skills, confidence and community — one robot at a time.

St. John's Anglican is the second-oldest Anglican church in Burlington. Founded in 1835, the congregation gathered in an old schoolhouse until the current building was completed. Visit during Doors Open for guided tours of the church and cemetery. There will be markers throughout the cemetery for notable people in Burlington’s history, including members of the locally famous Ireland family.

The historical Lowville Schoolhouse operated until the early 1950s. It was designated in 1992. Visit the schoolhouse to learn about the work of its current occupants — the Field and Stream Rescue Team — who work to clean and restore local creeks and green spaces. You can also walk along the shore of Bronte Creek and view the nearby stairs to Highville.

Come and celebrate 100 years of community service with the Burlington Lions Club! Visit Lions Hall and learn about their history in the community, their partnership with ROCK (Reach Out Centre For Kids) and how generations of Lions have been helping generations of Burlington residents. Drop by during Doors Open for some children's activities and free hot dogs!

Knox Presbyterian's building and congregation serve the community in the heart of downtown Burlington, with the congregation celebrating its 180th anniversary this year. The original church, today known as the Bell Tower Room, still stands — one of the oldest buildings in Burlington. Knox Presbyterian features the impressive stained-glass Campbell Memorial Windows, which can be viewed during Doors Open.

Come and have a look inside Kilbride United Church. Learn about its history and how it was moved to its present location around 1879. The church has served the village of Kilbride and the local community for 165 years. During your Doors Open visit, tour the sanctuary — which is much the same as it was over 100 years ago.

Backed By Bees aims to connect individuals with the natural world by cultivating a sustainable relationship between people and nature through the promotion of biodiversity and the celebration of honeybees. During Doors Open Burlington, guided tours will be offered every hour. Spend time on the Pollinator Path and learn about all things “bee” — local food production and, of course, honey!

The Burlington Masonic Temple is home to several Masonic lodges and one Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. The current meeting room, located in the heart of downtown Burlington, was constructed from 1953-54. During Doors Open, come and explore the lodge, learn about the history of the world's largest fraternal organization, and ask questions of experienced guides.

The Art Gallery of Burlington delivers thought-provoking exhibitions, learning opportunities and public programs that spark meaningful connections for people to learn, see, think and make. During Doors Open, guides will provide informal tours of exhibitions. There will also be a live clay demonstration in the Lee-Chin Family Gallery as part of the A Curve, Not a Line exhibit.
