Canadian National Railway Caboose 78175

Built at the Canadian National Railway’s Transcona Shops in Winnipeg, Caboose 78175 served as an office and home for train crews for nearly 60 years. Gifted to the City of Thunder Bay after its retirement, ownership was transferred to the Thunder Bay Railway Historical Society in 2016. This volunteer group has since restored her to her glory days.

Slate River DairyDoors Open Thunder Bay

Slate River Dairy

In 2015, this dairy’s first batches of milk and yogurt were produced from their new facility in Neebing. The 55 milking cows, fed using crops grown on the farm, produce approximately 1,400 litres (370 gallons) of milk daily. Come and learn about products sold in glass bottles and the closest you’ll get to raw milk in its most natural state.
