The present school building opened in 1969, but the grand original was completed in 1876 with 16 classrooms. Built of local limestone on top of Catholic Hill, with a stunning roofline and impressive belfry, it made an impressive skyline for the city. The bell from the old school was preserved and mounted beside the entrance of the new school.

A 232-square-metre (2,500-square-foot) community workshop offers tools and supplies for woodworking, metalworking, electronics, prototyping and crafting. Memberships are available, and there is a community of makers who are always excited to discuss and collaborate on projects. Opened in 2005, this 2743-square-metre (9,000-square-foot) facility is one of Guelph's six fire stations. It is staffed around the clock by a dedicated team of firefighters. It is unique as it has an on-site outdoor training compound and a wide variety of hands-on training props inside. Visitors can get a closer look at the tools and realistic scenarios firefighters use to prepare for real-world emergencies.

Established in 1982 by Fred Hammond, one of the founding members of Guelph’s Hammond Manufacturing, this museum houses an extensive collection of rare and historically significant pieces. The 2,000-plus items exhibited here illustrate the development of radio throughout the past 100 years. Included are crystal radios, early tabletop and broadcast pieces, early wireless sets, military and amateur radio equipment.

The Muslim Society of Guelph Masjid is located in a former elementary school, purchased in 2012. It has been developed into a place of worship, offices, community hall, library, classrooms and a daycare. Tours and displays will help visitors understand the religion and culture of Guelph’s Muslim community.

Restoration Design Inc. is a manufacturing facility specializing in rust repair and replacement panels for vintage Porche automobiles.  The company produces many of its parts in-house and also supplies used original panels and other components for restoration projects. Visitors will learn about the specialized tools, machines and processes involved.

Formerly Chalmers Presbyterian Church, built in 1871, it was designed by Henry Langley in the roman gothic style. In 2025, the church was sold to the Mission. They started a meal program, provided secure storage bins, laundry and shower facilities for people experiencing homelessness. Its goal is to provide a safe and loving environment for anyone in need.

Slinky Swellness Centre is a mobile, multi-sensory home-studio located in a house built in 1921. Since 2018, the space has been inspired by "Snoezelen" rooms, therapeutic play and one-of-a-kind woven slinkies. Facilitating inclusive programs, gatherings and the birthplace of "CathARTistry — exploring expression as a tool for growth and catharsis. Let’s pLaY!

Explore the Reformatory Side Trail, featuring two large ponds dug by incarcerated labourers, the Eramosa River and a beaver dam on Clythe Creek. Hiking club guides will lead 30-minute walks from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The trail is partly paved and hilly. Parking is in the lot opposite York Road and Elizabeth Street.
