ARTspace is a community art initiative located in the heart of Chatham. It is dedicated to the promotion and development of Chatham-Kent artists. Check out the current exhibit For the Love of Bugs and join ARTSpace staff in a fun fall-themed activity.

Constructed as the focal point of the community, the Bothwell Town Hall is a hidden gem that includes an opera hall, known as the Jim Kish Theatre. The building continues to serve the community through civic functions, hosting concerts, performances and movie nights. Tours of the building will be offered for an exclusive look within this heritage building.

The museum collection includes approximately 12,000 three-dimensional objects, over 1,000 natural science specimens, over 100,000 photos, documents and correspondence and a substantial art collection. Join CKM staff for an exclusive look at our archive. Built in 1883, Glenlochie Lodge was the home of the McVean family. The grand staircase, stained glass and ornate woodwork reflect the homes Scottish Heritage. It offers a rare glimpse into Victorian life and Dresden’s history. Visitors are invited to step inside and experience the story of this remarkable home through free guided tours and stories of the McVean family.   

Take a guided tour through the museum gallery, historical buildings and cemeteries. At the top of each hour, visitors are invited to examine three rarely seen artifacts and uncover the stories behind them with a museum guide. Visitors can also cast a vote to help select an artifact from storage for museum staff to prepare for a future exhibit.

Stop by and enjoy some complimentary cornhole while exploring their unique farm-based venue, with the iconic red barn and open fields.

Experience the magic of filmmaking at SheepDog Animation, an internationally recognized award-winning youth studio. Our rich curriculum bridges traditional art history and cutting-edge technology. Visitors can dive into hands-on creativity with our stop-motion animation stations, explore our digital gallery and interact directly with the next generation of tech by playing video games designed and coded by our talented students.

Wallaceburg Sycamore Woods is stewarded by NatureCK in partnership with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, which owns the property. This property is land-locked and can only be accessed with permission from adjacent landowners and under the supervision of NatureCK guides. Located in the village’s most iconic building, the Thamesville Old Town Hall Museum is a charming repository of the history of Thamesville. Located on the second floor, the Shirley Bain Room is named in honour of the late Thamesville historian who helped established the museum in the 1990s. Come and check out a model of the village and other local history.
