Ontario Heritage Trust staff will tell visitors about Doris McCarthy, a key figure in Canada’s artistic community, and the experience she had building Fool’s Paradise. Visitors can tour McCarthy’s eccentric house/studio and learn about the artist-in-residence program now operating there. They can also explore the beautiful grounds, with gardens, a large pond and spectacular views of the Scarborough Bluffs.
