At first glance, this two-storey bed and breakfast appears to be a straightforward example of the Italianate style of the late 1870s and 1880s. Its projecting frontispieces, segmental windows, brackets and double door with rectangular transom are characteristic of many Collingwood homes from this time. Of particular note is the decorative brickwork, with its distinctive bands of contrasting buff bricks.
