Fort York National Historic Site

The settlement of modern Toronto began in 1793 when John Graves Simcoe built a garrison on the site of what is now Fort York. Visitors during Doors Open will experience special military architecture tours, tours of the barracks and fortifications and a wide range of exhibits telling the story of Fort York's and Canada's military past.
