This 1895 mansion is a beautiful example of the Queen Anne revival style. The home, with an exterior of ruby volcanic stone, resides in one of the city’s outstanding historical districts. Thomas “Carbide” Willson, the inventor of acetenyl, built the home for his mother. Over the years, it has served as a nunnery as well as a guest house.
