In 1960, NATO and the Canadian Department of National Defence built this satellite communications (SATCOM) station with a huge metal space frame radar dome on its roof. The dome protects the SATCOM antenna, which provided satellite communications between NATO countries until 1999. It is now headquarters for the Canadian Space Services Ltd., CSS Wind Inc. and Rocky Mountain Equipment Ltd.
