The Rideau Environmental Action League (REAL) uses a former Smiths Falls Public Works building to operate the REAL Deal Reuse Store. In addition to ensuring that usable materials do not become waste, REAL uses the adjacent naturalized lot to offer additional environmental services – including an electronics waste depot, rain barrel sales, a community garden and a compost demonstration site.
