Copeland Hill Cemetery has a rich history. The church’s original congregation comprised members of the garrison from Drummond Island who settled here after the island was returned to the Americans following the War of 1812. In early days, the church’s pastors travelled by horseback. The Copelands – a prominent local industrial family – donated the cemetery land in the 1830s.
