Originally known as Buena Vista, this large two-storey red brick Italianate-style residence was “modernized” with Queen Anne features around 1900. Built for insurance broker J.M. Staebler, and subsequently acquired by the J.M. Schneider family, the home and original coach house contain much of the original woodwork, leaded and stained glass, decorative plasterwork, and an elaborate fireplace and mirrored mantelpiece.
