Carman House is a 200-plus-year-old Georgian limestone cottage that has been restored to its original condition. It was built shortly after the War of 1812 by Michael Carman III, son of a Palatine Loyalist. He was bequeathed the property in 1806 from his uncle, who had fought alongside the British during the American Rebellion.
