With over half of this year's Doors Open Ontario events taking place in September and October, visitors will have the chance to enjoy many of the province's unique heritage sites throughout the fall season.
The theme for 2010 is Our changing landscape. Participating communities are demonstrating how their built and natural environments have evolved over time, while reflecting on how these changes impact their identity.
The architectural showpieces, community landmarks and natural landscapes that define Ontario's communities are waiting to be explored – all free of charge.

Doors Open Ontario was launched in 2002 by the Ontario Heritage Trust, an agency of the Government of Ontario dedicated to identifying, preserving, protecting and promoting Ontario's heritage for present and future generations. Through the program, communities are able to showcase local heritage, while attracting visitors to a unique cultural tourism experience that boosts the local economy. To date, over three million visits have been made to heritage sites during Doors Open Ontario events.
