Boyd Heritage Museum 21 Canal Street, Bobcaygeon (705) 738-9482 www.theboydmuseum.com Architect: John E. Belcher; Year Built: 1889 Dates/Hours Open: Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Designed by John E. Belcher of Peterborough and built in 1889, this building originally housed the Boyd family businesses, including interests in lumber, agriculture and steamships. It retains its original cabinetry, shelving, window casements and doors. The museum’s collection includes artifacts related to the Boyds’ influence on the development of Bobcaygeon and the Kawarthas. 
Duggan House Kawartha Settlers Village, 85 Dunn Street, Bobcaygeon (705) 738-6163 www.kawarthasettlersvillage.com Year Built: Late 1800s Dates/Hours Open: Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This log home was built in the late 1800s by John and Ellen Duggans, Irish immigrants and pioneer farmers at Concession 1, Verulam Township. They raised 13 children in it. Since its relocation to Kawartha Settlers Village, the Friends of Duggan House have maintained it and its belongings, and work on its restoration.
Fairburn Church Kawartha Settlers Village, 85 Dunn Street, Bobcaygeon (705) 738-6163 www.kawarthasettlersvillage.com Year Built: 1886 Dates/Hours Open: Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Built and dedicated in 1886 on Concession 7, Verulam Township, this Methodist church served the area until 1963. In 1996, it was moved to Kawartha Settlers Village, where it was restored to its simple beauty, with many original features preserved. Displays of photographs and memorabilia.

Dates/Hours Open: Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This original log home, built in the early 1860s by the Junkins, who were among the area’s earliest settlers, was moved to Kawartha Settlers Village and restored to enhance the village’s pioneer collection. Step back in time as you view the artifacts on display and learn about this charming house from people who lived in it in the past.
Lockmaster’s Watch House Trent Severn Waterway Lock 32, Bobcaygeon
Dates/Hours Open: Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The watch tower at Lock 32 in Bobcaygeon originally stood at Lock 20 in Ashburnham. It was the last of its kind to be taken out of service. Since 2008, it has been used for historical displays and to commemorate the service of the lock’s many operators. Enjoy displays that illuminate the story of the Trent Severn Waterway.

Year Built: 1859 Dates/Hours Open: Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Built in 1859, this solid brick storey-and-a-half house retains many of its original features, including window mouldings, stair banister, upstairs flooring, dining room ceiling and front door. Now a bed-and-breakfast, the house is expertly decorated with period furnishings and boasts tin ceilings, heritage rooms and charming sunrooms.
Murphy Barn Kawartha Settlers Village, 85 Dunn Street, Bobcaygeon (705) 738-6163 www.kawarthasettlersvillage.com Year Built: Early 20th century Dates/Hours Open: Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Original to the site now occupied by Kawartha Settlers Village, this large Ontario barn dates back to the early 20th century. Built by the Murphy family to stable its dairy herd, it now serves as an agricultural museum. Exhibits include the agricultural history of the area, as well tools and other implements used by early pioneers.
Settlers’ Schoolhouse Kawartha Settlers Village, 85 Dunn Street, Bobcaygeon (705) 738-6163 www.kawarthasettlersvillage.com Year Built: Early 20th century Dates/Hours Open: Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dating back to the turn of the 20th century, this log building originally stood at the foot of Kennedy Bay Road on Sturgeon Lake. Moved to the Kawartha Settlers Village in 2000, it was restored as a typical one-room schoolhouse accommodating eight grades of rural students.
Trinity United Church 40 William Street, Bobcaygeon (705) 738-5135 www.trinityprovidence.com/wsb3576382301/index.html Year Built: 1860; enlarged and bricked, 1879 Dates/Hours Open: Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Built in 1860 as a Methodist church, this building was Bobcaygeon’s first place of worship. The original wood structure was outfitted with plank seats and candlelight. Enlarged and improved in 1879, it was then veneered with brick. The original building now serves as a church hall. Historical photographs on display. 
Wray House Kawartha Settlers Village, 85 Dunn Street, Bobcaygeon (705) 738-6163 www.kawarthasettlersvillage.com Year Built: 1850 Dates/Hours Open: Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This log home, built in 1850 on Concession 1, Verulam Township, was occupied by four generations of the Wray family. Donated to Kawartha Settlers Village in 1998, it has been restored and is maintained by the Settlers Village Quilters Guild. Enjoy quilt displays and demonstrations, as well as displays about the house’s artifacts, history and features.
